Ayuda con temas de escritorio de xp

Hola a todos,bueno mi problema es que conseguí un pack de 50 temas de escritorio para xp y la mayoría no tengo ni idea como se hace para que funcionen.
Algunos traen un .exe (en esos no tengo problemas,supongo que sólo ejecutar)
Pero la mayoría no traen .exe,traen tres tipos de archivos que se repiten constantemente,son:
xxxx.msstyles
xxxx.dll
xxxx.png
dentro de carpetas,que también suelen repetirsen en cada tema de escritorio:
shell
normalcolor
En algunos temas hay un notepad para ayudarte pero tan escuetos y en ingles que no me entero,te dicen que vaya a windows>resources>themes.
Hago eso y me encuentro archivos iguales pero corto y pego los nuevos voy a propiedades>apariencia y no me sale ningún tema nuevo cargado.
En uno me indica ésto pero la traducción no me ayuda nada...

Tengo que instalar algún programa o algo para luego poder trabajar con estos temas?,no sé,gracias y perdón por lo largo.

Dice q para q funcione correctamente necesitas instalar un tipo de fuente en concreto.

Gracias choche por contestar,pero sigo igual,más o menos sabía la traducción lo que no sé a que fuentes se refiere,ni dónde las instalo,ni dónde las consigo,si me podéis decir algo más estupendo.

Hola choche,cada tema trae instrucciones diferentes,aunque parecidas,te pongo dos de las más representativas.

A ver que te parece,las instruciones no son difíciles:ir a windows>resources>themes una vez ahí intento poner los archivos(xxxx.themes,xxxxmsstyles,y las dll)de igual manera están los temas originales que trae el xp por defecto,pero nada,en pocos casos me reconoce algo,cuando lo hace sólo cambia el color de fondo del escritorio.
